How to get to La Finca?

1. Leaving from Madrid, take the A5 highway, direction Badajoz, until the exit at KM 123.

2. Take the N502 road, drive 38kms until you reach the village of Arenas de San Pedro.

3. Once in the village, the same road takes us along the main street to the Castle of the Triste Condesa and then skirts the Castle itself on the right.

4. Passing the Castle of the Triste Condesa, (we see the road sign) and you must turn left and then immediately to the right to cross the bridge over the Rio Arenal and take the AV-924 road, direction Candeleda, until Km 9. (It is about 15 minutes on a winding but very nice mountain road, to start enjoying)

5. Immediately at km 9, there are 3 dirt roads, take the right one.

6. This last stretch to our farm is rural and somewhat rustic, but we promise you that it is worth it. At only 1.5km from the asphalt, the real disconnection begins. And at the end... a magical place awaits you.

7. Enter Finca El Encuentro, Casa Rural with a green gate, which has a padlock with a key that we provide when you rent it.

What does self-sustainable mean?

The property does not have a connection to the electrical grid. It works exclusively with solar energy. This means that we must be responsible in the use of electrical devices, especially on cloudy days where the energy load will not be as powerful. Although there is a dishwasher, it is advisable not to use it or to use it only at the end of your stay.

It is also recommended not to use hair dryers.

What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-in is at 3pm and check-out at 12pm.

Are animals accepted?

Yes, only outside the house.

Smoking is allowed?

No, its non allowed to smoke inside the house.

Is it allowed to light a fire?

Between March 15 and October 15, lighting fires is completely prohibited. This prohibition contained in Decree 64/1995 aims to prevent forest fires.

The penalty can range from €1,000 to €100,000. The very serious ones up to 1 million euros, depending on the damage caused to the environment as a result of non-compliance with the order.
